Content Writing/Blog Writing | Part-time (~10hrs) | Remote | Freelance

We’re looking for an experienced digital artist or creative with a good standing in the online digital arts community who also loves to help other artists and wants to write to that end. The ideal person for this position has a portfolio that shows quality digital artworks and can show experience writing for the online artist community.

What you’ll do

We’re looking for a hands-down fantastic artist or designer (who’s ALSO an incredible writer). You should already be experienced enough to know the ins and outs of various creative tools and the online art community, BUT you should also be great at research and diving deep into topics you’re somewhat unfamiliar with. You should communicate in clear, simple language, but be comfortable adding a bit of flavor to keep your writing engaging.

Here’s a breakdown of what you’ll be working on, at least in the beginning:

• 1-2 monthly articles for the Astropad blog focused on art, creativity, and/or design
• Contributions to original social media posts with the same focus on art and creativity

Absolute requirements

• 3+ years of professional quality art or design experience with a portfolio that shows that
• 2+ years writing experience (ideally how-to content for artists or creatives)
• Original writing samples
• Highly skilled at researching any topic (AKA incredible Google-fu)
• Native-level written English

Bonus:

• Own an iPad + Apple Pencil
