Contractor Description
We are seeking a Strategic Content Writer with non-profit experience to join our award-winning creative team. This role emphasizes copywriting, RFP proposal writing, grant writing, and the development of marketing collateral materials, requiring approximately 10 hours a week.
The right candidate will be a strategic thinker and a compelling storyteller who can work independently and quickly to create content that resonates with our stakeholders. They should also be adept at managing multiple projects simultaneously and committed to making kindness in business a standard. Responsibilities:
- Developing and writing winning proposals and compelling content for RFPs, ensuring alignment with the client's needs and desired outcomes.
- Managing proposal processes, tracking progress, and maintaining well-organized files for all proposals.
- Writing clear, compelling copy for various mediums including, blog posts, newsletters, and websites.
- Preparing, submitting, and managing grant proposals, maintaining accurate records, and developing a steady pipeline of funding opportunities.
Requirements and Skills:
- Passionate about centering young and multicultural storytellers
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in the non-profit sector
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, English, journalism, communications, advertising or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Proven experience in copywriting, proposal writing, grant writing, and/or content strategy
- Knowledge of SEO and online content creation
- Proficiency in AP Style, editing, and proofreading
- Ability to conceptualize, design, and develop sales-focused content
- Strong research, organizational, and multi-tasking skills
- Proficiency in G-Suite, Asana, and Notion
- Collaborative spirit, attention to detail, resourcefulness, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Rate:
$50-60/hour
Approx. 10 hours/week
3-month contract
